Everyone knows that when you sleep better, you feel better.  There are many ways to lead to a better nights rest.  While looking around and trying to figure out tricks and tips, I found several helpful hints.

First, you cannot control your sleep.  It is just a fact – we do not have control over sleep.  Once you have realized and accepted this fact, the stress to sleep will slowly dissipate.

Second, set yourself a bedtime, but remember to not get upset when you are not exactly asleep at this set time.  Be sure to be in bed and relaxing at your set bedtime.  It will help calm your body and create a better sleeping atmosphere.

Third, taking a warm, soothing bath before bed is a helpful way to calm your entire being.  While in the warm tube, relax all of your muscles and enjoy the bath.  Don’t let your mind wander.

Fourth, keep your bedroom cool.  It helps your body come to a calmer and more restful pace.

Fifth, eat lightly before bed.  Not only will you be satisfied but it will help keep your metabolism going through the night.  You won’t wake up at 3 in the morning wishing you had your leftovers on  your side table.

Sixth, avoid caffeine.  It will be counterproductive if you ingest anything caffeinated right before bed.  It will keep you awake and most likely frustrate you.

Finally, remember to breathe. Breathing exercises will help calm your nerves therefore allowing you to calm down.  Once you are calm, sleeping will come naturally and satisfactorily.

With all of these helpful hints, you will be on your way to a better nights rest in no time.  The trick is to remain calm and realize that sleeping is really out of your control.  Once you let all of those stressful and negative thoughts go, your body can relax and you will be dreaming!

Sleep is also a very important part of weight loss and weight training. If you body doesn't have the proper amount of time to relax and digest it makes loosing weight and gaining muscle harder.
