 Not sure how active the member are for this group, but I figured the wall is a good place to introduce myself. I'm a 20 year old male who struggles with addictions such as sex,marijuana,alcohol,nicotine and nail biting to boot. My parents are both alcoholics, who are in denial and have been my entire life. I struggle with the concept of whether or not genetics play a role in addiction, especially in cases like my own. I think the nature v. nurture topic in regards to addiction is an interesting one, and one worth exploring. If anyone would be willing to speak on this topic, I'd be happy to engage.

I joined this group anyway to see what other members on here have to say. I particularly find this the nature vs nurture topic interesting too bcoz 3 of my maternal uncles were alcoholics. not my immediate family or parents. so i wonder if it still holds good. We could discuss this topic further im goin to start a discussion about this and maybe we can take it from there. hope to see you around.
